Will I need a PC in my shop? Yes. This would allow you to take full advantage of all the features of the website.
Your website looks simple. No flashy films, noises, advertisements. Is it basic? Anything but! We developed this site over four years, really thinking about every aspect of how the system operates, what suits ordering Lunch in an office environment, and what will suit your business. The result is a product which will blend in to your business, and which is simple and quick to use. As far as we are aware, it is also the first publicly accessible website to allow group login's and ordering for each member of the group. HubbaHubba, but flash movies don't suit this product. This is a simple, quick and effective ordering mechanism for office lunch orders.
Do you take money from our customers? You can choose to allow PayPal. Customers can then choose to pay you Cash or make PayPal payments to your PayPal account. Collection of cash for your produce remains your responsibility, although the website does calculate totals for you. You collect the money in exactly the same way as you do now. If customers pay by PayPal, the order is instantly updated so you can see customers who have paid with PayPal
What are the costs? There is no charge for your customers to use the system.
For the first twelve months of use, there are no charges for your shop to retrieve and process your orders via the PC. After that, a 3% charge of turnover through the website applies. Therefore, you can try out the system with no on going costs to see if it helps your business, and if your order volumes remain low through the internet, you will be able to use the system for free indefinitely.
I'm not sure I want all these custom options. We mainly do 'set' sandwiches. You can customise the system to suit your business, allowing customers to vary none to almost all of the contents. Almost every variation which you could want can be accommodated.
I don't know much about the internet, will I be able to use the system? We have designed the system to be as easy to use as possible, and it requires virtually zero maintenance. So once you have setup your system, you won't need to change anything unless your menu changes. To help you setup your system we have detailed help pages available to you once you first login.
I don't have premises that customers can visit. Can I still use the system? Yes, just adjust your settings once you have setup your products.
Why should I setup the system? You will only get more business, and potentially no costs. We think that's a pretty good reason!
Our market research revealed that most computer based staff would prefer to be able to order via the internet than via phone or fax, so we expect that you could increase your sales by finding new customers. The system is also designed to allow you to more easily supply personalised sandwiches therefore allowing you to easily prepare, in advance, exactly what the customer desires, improving your service to them. All orders are displayed or faxed to you in a precise and clear manner, therefore avoiding any misinterpretation. Time normally spent taking phone orders can be converted to producing food and managing your business. Less queuing - better service. Various other facilities, such as optional notification of when customers lunch has been prepared, and calculation of shortest delivery route, further enhance your service to the customer without any effort on your part.
Having your menu on-line allows you to reduce, or eliminate, your menu printing costs, immediately update product costs as required, and easily vary your menu on a daily basis.
The system also of course does all the calculation of order costs for you!
Overall, we believe, the system allows you to offer a better service to your customers, and to operate more efficiently... a better service to your customers and more profit to you!
How long will it take to setup my menu on the system? We have designed our menu edit facilities to be quick and easy to use. We would expect most suppliers to be able to setup their menus within an hour.
What happens if there is a problem with my fax machine? If unsuccessful, our fax servers will retry to send orders to your fax machine up to six times. After that, a fault will be automatically emailed to the user with a link to their order, allowing manual faxing of the order.
Why do we need your email address? We already have a number of sandwich shops partially set up ready for use on our database. When we know the post code your shop is in, we search through them to see if your business is one of them. We need an email address for you so that we can send login information to you for the website.
Can users order breakfast and order at weekends? Customers can order at weekends now, if you set your shop to allow that to happen. We have done the programming to allow breakfast ordering, it will be introduced at some point in the future, but not until we have completed full testing.
What about the future? We are committed to providing the best service possible for UK Sandwich shops. Our charges will always remain at a reasonable level, we believe in fair capitalism! Principles are something you can't loose!
